Airport metered taxis await passengers arriving in Lombok to transport them to their final destinations. Private vehicles, public buses, and shuttle buses are also options for airport transportation.
Reaching Lombok by train is not possible, as passengers must eventually arrive on the island by either air or water.
Reaching the island is not possible by bus, however, bus services are available once passengers have arrived in Lombok. From the airport, the public bus service provides scheduled trips to Senggigi and other popular areas. The buses are large, and can hold up to 40 passengers. Tickets are available upon arrival at the bus terminal at marked counters.
Public ferries leave every hour from Padang Bai Harbour in Bali that will take you to Lembar Harbour. The ferry ride takes roughly 4-5 hours.
Car rental services are available in Lombok, but not recommended. A decent alternative for those who wish to travel freely is to rent a car with a local driver. Motorbike rental is also available on the island.
